{"id":250006,"date":"2022-07-20T05:00:11","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T05:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.staging.trustedchoice.cloud\/advantage\/?p=250006"},"modified":"2022-07-25T20:50:53","modified_gmt":"2022-07-25T20:50:53","slug":"finding-and-winning-new-commercial-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.staging.trustedchoice.cloud\/advantage\/blog\/finding-and-winning-new-commercial-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Finding and Winning New Commercial Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The majority of independent insurance agents (53%) are expecting a significant increase in online commercial insurance buyers over the next three years, according to a survey from <a href=\"https:\/\/semsee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Semsee<\/a>, the go-to platform for selling commercial insurance, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trustedchoice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TrustedChoice.com<\/a>, the nation\u2019s largest digital marketing platform for independent agents and brokers.<\/p>\n<p>The study took place online from March\u2014April 2022 and collected responses from over 350 P&amp;C independent insurance agents who provide commercial insurance. It focused on the ways agents find and win new commercial insurance business.<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: flex; margin-bottom: 50px;\">\n<div style=\"flex: 1; padding-right: 10px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-240605\" style=\"border: solid 4px white; border-radius: 60px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.staging.trustedchoice.cloud\/advantage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/chip-bacciocco.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"flex: 4; border-left: solid 2px gray; padding-left: 20px;\">\u201cThe survey shows that agents have clearly become more digital in the last two years, especially in terms of leveraging virtual communications technologies like videoconferencing and e-signature tools, which is a testament to the adaptability of the IA channel,\u201d explained Chip Bacciocco, CEO, TrustedChoice.com. \u201cAnd when it comes to sales and marketing, there are still opportunities to expand what they\u2019re doing, both in terms of finding new business opportunities and efficiently closing those deals.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Agents need technology to keep up with increasing opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>Overall, 42% of agents surveyed say they are seeing an increase in commercial opportunities since the start of the pandemic in early 2020. And while the survey found that agents are generally pleased with the marketing and sales technologies they\u2019re using today, many recognize they need to make significant improvements to become even more digital. Search Engine Optimization (SEO), new and faster ways to assess insurer appetite, and efficiently obtaining quotes from multiple carriers were all cited as areas needing the most improvement.<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: flex; margin-bottom: 50px;\">\n<div style=\"flex: 1; padding-right: 10px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-249966\" style=\"border: solid 4px white; border-radius: 60px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.staging.trustedchoice.cloud\/advantage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/philip-charles-pierre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"flex: 4; border-left: solid 2px gray; padding-left: 20px;\">\u201cWinning and placing new business is a particular challenge for agencies that offer commercial. Business leaders have told us that they want to see multiple policy options from agents. Yet finding markets and getting quotes can be such a time-consuming process for agents.
