You start to feel like you’re reading a different language. And if you’re fortunate to have an agency profile on the Momentum Edge platform or are thinking about subscribing, there is a whole another set of terms to understand. We’re here to decipher the code and put it into your terms. Let’s get started!<\/p>\n

SEO<\/h2>\n

This stands for Search Engine Optimization, which increases the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website to users of a search engine using digital marketing strategies.<\/p>\n

Content page<\/h2>\n

This is a web page on one of our insurance consumer websites with content created for the purposes of educating insurance shoppers.<\/p>\n

Keywords rankings<\/h2>\n

This refers to a content page’s position within search results like Google, Yahoo, or Bing for a particular keyword inquiry. When a user searches for a particular keyword, like insurance agents, your ranking URL would be the web page listed for that keyword search. Keep in mind that one content web page can rank for several relevant search keywords and phrases.<\/p>\n

Google impression<\/h2>\n

Each time a content page is shown on a search result page within the Google Search Engine this is known as an impression.<\/p>\n

Shopper session<\/h2>\n

This occurs anytime someone visits one of our insurance consumer websites. A session ends if the user is inactive for too long or re-enters the website via a different campaign. If a user leaves our website and re-enters via the same link in a short period of time, this will not count as a new session.<\/p>\n

Unique shopper sessions<\/h2>\n

These are individuals who visit our insurance consumer websites. Even though one individual may visit multiple times, they are counted as one unique session.<\/p>\n

Organic shopper sessions<\/h2>\n

This is when a visitor that lands on one of our insurance consumer websites as a result of unpaid “organic” search results. Visitors who are considered organic find us after using a search engine like Google.<\/p>\n

Agency recommendation<\/h2>\n

This is when an agency\u2019s profile is presented as a recommendation to an insurance shopper whose needs match the agent’s appetite. If the consumer selects the recommended agency, then it becomes a referral.<\/p>\n

Consumer Choice Referral<\/h2>\n

A Consumer Choice Referral is generated when an insurance consumer completes the funnel to “Find an Agent” on one of our insurance consumer websites, selects a specific recommended agency, and asked to be contacted. These are called Consumer Choice Referrals because the selection of the appropriate agency is left up to the consumer.<\/p>\n

Appetite-Matching Agency Recommendations<\/h2>\n

This is when the Momentum Edge platform recommends agencies to consumers whose appetite, customized by the agency, matches the consumers’ needs.<\/p>\n

Funnel start<\/h2>\n

This is when a consumer begins filling out the online questionnaire on one of our consumer sites, sharing details such as the type of insurance they need, their location, whether they are currently insured, and how much they pay annually for coverage.<\/p>\n

Funnel completion<\/h2>\n

This happens when the consumer fills out the online questionnaire form completely and are shown matching recommended agents in their area. It also gives Momentum Edge permission to provide their information to an independent insurance agent or partner to email or call them.<\/p>\n

End-of-the-funnel agency recommendation<\/h2>\n

Different from a regular agency recommendation, this is when an agency is recommended to a consumer based on the answers entered in the questionnaire at the end of the funnel.<\/p>\n

Scorecard<\/h2>\n

This is a report sent to Momentum Edge agency subscribers showing the number of times their agency profile was recommended to shoppers on the platform. You can read more about scorecards here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Claim-it\u00ae<\/sup> Referrals<\/h2>\n

Claim-it Referrals differ from referrals in that they’re exclusive. Claim-it Referrals come from high-intent, active, online prospects looking for an agent to talk to in real-time. When an agent claims a Claim-it Referral for themselves, that referral and all of its information becomes unavailable to competing agents. Like referrals, however, Claim-it Referrals are appetite-matching, high-quality, local, and inbound. Claim-it Referral notification<\/h2>\n

This is when an agent is notified through email or text messaging that a Claim-It Referral which matches their business appetite is available to purchase.<\/p>\n

Referrals claimed<\/h2>\n
